The trustees and other supporters are organised into eight focus groups, each looking at a specific area of development to get the station on air. All of these are run by local volunteers and would welcome your support.

Thornbury FM has developed from an idea, suggested by local churches, to become the voice of the whole community of Thornbury in South Gloucestershire and its surrounding area. With a thriving, democratic, membership organisation as our base, and six successful transmissions under our belt, we have the experience, enthusiasm and volunteers to look forward to a maximum 28-day broadcast in November 2008.

As well as the enthusiastic participation of many individuals who bring with them a diverse range of talents, the station has also received widespread backing from a number of funding bodies and businesses. We are very grateful for the support we have received through advertising, as well as generous grants from South Gloucestershire County Council, Awards for All, Thornbury Round Table, Oldbury Power Station and the South West Foundation. St Mary’s Parish Church has kindly made studio premises available.

Thanks for supporting us...

Town and County Councillors, Thornbury Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, Thornbury Police, Thornbury Primary and Secondary schools, Thornbury Churches Together, Thornbury Arts Festival, Thornbury Magazine, local clubs and organisations as well as many individuals.
