Helen Harrison

If you are anything like me, the only reason you have come to this page is to see whether I look like I sound, so apologies if I don’t.

But some of you might be interested in reading a bit more about me and my show, so if that is you, here goes:

I am Helen Harrison, and I will be doing the early morning show on Saturday, from 7 - 9am. The show will be easy-listening, with a mix of music - from the stuff I grew up with, to the tracks my daughters are growing up with now, and this will interspersed with light-hearted chat, useful bits of info to wake up with, and at least one local guest each week. There might even be some fairtrade chocolate to win as well, so tune in to find out how!

For those of you who want to know the really boring CV type stuff: I live in Thornbury, have 2 daughters both 13 years old, and am married to Tim. I go to Thornbury Baptist church, am a town councillor, and have a variety of other roles including teaching on global issues, volunteering for Christian Aid, helping at NGM, helping lead overseas short-term outreach trips, and studying for an MA. I am passionate about trying to make a difference to the world for the benefit of those that suffer from poverty and injustice which is the reason I might mention fairtrade so many times on the show – it really does make a difference to the producers.
