Sue Haslehurst

Sue lives in North Bristol and worked as a senior lecturer in Nursing Studies at the University of the West of England until 2001. Now semi retired she works 2 days a week as a doctor’s receptionist. This still leaves her time to enjoy her garden and go travelling anywhere from New York to Chester!

Her love of radio goes back many years, presenting pretend programmes with a hairbrush microphone at a very early age!

She was involved with hospital radio in Crawley, West Sussex, before coming to Bristol and joining the Bristol Hospital Broadcasting Service, (BHBS), in 1990. At BHBS she presents a weekly classical music programme as well as being a studio manager. She also presents live classical concerts from Bristol’s Colston Hall for BHBS.

Sue has been associated with RSL stations FemFM, Kute and CommonwealthFM. She believes that stations like ThornburyFM can and should be a vital part of the local community and is very pleased to have been invited to be involved with the broadcast.

Hear Sue on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 12 noon.
